The historic capital of the island Cres is also named Cres.

We recommend you visit the town loggia from the 15^th century, the church of the St. Mary of the Snow, which has 3 distinct areas called ships and the roman Isidor-Church from the 12^th century.

It is just wonderful to wander through the narrow streets of Cres and enjoy the area.

In the summer months all the small cafes in the harbor are a popular meeting place for locals and visitors alike.
